Brazil. cool place. here are some facts i found out. =)
Fact #1. Sloths take one whole week to travel a distance of only 200 metres! That is 0.00231481 metres per second.
Fact #2. Sloths deficate only once in about a week.
Fact #3. They spend most of their lives up in trees and only comes down when they need to do their erm, business.
Fact #4. Monkey Frogs can walk. Not only do they jump or leap like other frogs, they can actually spread their legs out and walk. cool. =)
And, the Amazon river.
Did you know?
>>The first European found the amazon because he was 200 miles out to sea and noticed that he was sailing in fresh water. He turned toward shore and found the amazon river.
>>It is 4,080 miles long and runs from the Andes Mountains in Peru through Brazil to the Atlantic Ocean. It contains more water than any other river in the world- more than the Mississippi, the Nile and the Yangtze combined. In one second the Amazon pours more than 55 million gallons, or 600,000 cubic meters of water, into the Atlantic Ocean, which dilutes the ocean's saltiness for 100 miles from shore.
>>The Amazon River makes up for 1/5 of the earth's fresh water.
>>The Amazon is the widest river in the world.
>>The Amazon river contains both black and brown water. The brown water runs down from Andes, the water is colder and carries more minerals, thus the colour. The black water has not as much minerals and the water is warmer.
Thats what you get from watching The Jeff Corwin Experience! haha. fun. x)
